Official Handing Over of Sindh E-Portal to Sindh IT Company (SITC) for Operation and Maintenance (O&M)

Karachi, 21st October 2026: The official handing over/taking over ceremony of the Sindh E-Portal was held at the Committee Room of the Science and Information Technology Department, Government of Sindh, under the chairmanship of the Honourable Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Sindh for Science and Information Technology, Mr. Muhammad Ali Rashid. The ceremony marked the formal transfer of the Sindh E-Portal from the Science and Information Technology Department (S&ITD) to the Sindh IT Company (SITC) for its continued operation, maintenance, and management.

 

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Agha Suhail Ahmed, Secretary, Science and Information Technology Department; Mr. Zain ul Abideen Shah, Chief Executive Officer, Sindh IT Company, along with his team; Dr. Shahzeb Ali Malik, Member (IT) along with Operations Team; and Senior Officials from the Science and Information Technology Department. The participants reviewed the handover arrangements and relevant project documentation to facilitate a smooth transition of the portal into the operation and maintenance phase.

 

The transfer of operational responsibility to SITC is aimed at ensuring the sustainability, effective management, regular updating, and uninterrupted functioning of the Sindh E-Portal, which serves as a unified digital platform for the Government of Sindh and its various departments. Under this arrangement, SITC will undertake the operation and maintenance of the portal, including its ongoing management and technical support, to ensure its continued availability and effectiveness. This initiative reflects the Government of Sindh’s commitment to strengthening digital governance, improving public access to government information and services, and ensuring the long-term sustainability of its digital infrastructure.
