Construction of 3,100 houses completed for flood-affected people in Sukkur

The Sindh government has achieved a significant milestone by completing the construction of 3,100 houses for flood-affected families in District Sukkur under the Sindh People's Housing Scheme for Flood Affected People. This initiative is part of an ambitious project to build 83,417 houses for individuals displaced by devastating floods, demonstrating the government’s commitment to rehabilitation and social welfare.

The handover ceremony was a momentous occasion, attended by Provincial Minister for Energy, Planning, and Development Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Sindh Government Spokesperson and Sukkur Mayor Barrister Arsalan Islam Shaikh, and Chairman of the District Council Sukkur Syed Kumail Haider Shah. During the event, the dignitaries distributed keys and ownership documents to the beneficiaries, symbolizing a fresh start for the affected families.

This housing initiative not only provides secure shelter but also contributes to restoring livelihoods and rebuilding communities, paving the way for long-term recovery and resilience for those impacted by natural disasters.
