Minister Women Development Sindh, Ms. Tauqeer Fatima Bhutto, belonging to the party which have created  deep routs in the public i.e. Pakistan Peoples Party have a very clear vision of sustainable women development. After taking charge on 12^h April, 2008, she immediately initiated interactive dialogue with all sectors and levels of society for adopting a path which will ultimately lead to social economic, political and legal empowerment of women. 

 The Minister has started building contacts and linkages with the women requiring attention of the government for resolution of their issues like poverty, violence against women, medical facilities and sufferings of working women i.e. extra working time, low wages rate and medical facilities.  To cater the need of the women of the province and to deliver the benefit of development at grass root level particularly the rural women, under the guidance of the Minister initiatives have been taken which will have a short term as well as long term impact.                

      MAJOR INITIATIVES TAKEN   SO, FAR WOMEN

 COMPLEX IN ALL DIVISIONS  

The project aims at providing all the civic facilities to the women under one roof.  Plans are being developed for establishment of Women Complex at all Divisions which will be furnished with a Library, Display Centre, Conference Hall, Hostel.

 ESTABLISHMENT OF COTTAGE INDSUTRY IN ALL DISTRICT OF SINDH. 

The province of Sindh is known for its traditional arts and crafts largely manufactured by women as handicrafts.  Heavy demand of these handicrafts all over Pakistan supports to upgrade it as recognized cottage industry.  The women involved in manufacturing of handicrafts and other items will largely benefited from this establishment . 

JUDICIAL COMPLEX AT SUKKUR, LARKANA AND KARACHI JAILS. 

The women under trial have to face unnecessary delay in presenting before the Magistrate/Judge some times due to non-availability of women police and some times non-availability of transport mostly the cases are adjourned for want of time.  The judicial complex within the jail territory will provide speedy access of justice by the women under trial.  The complex will provide full fledged court facilities to the magistrate and judges for hearing of accused women in the jail.   

TWENTY PERCENT WOMEN ECPLOYMENT QUOTA IN GOVERNMENT SERVICES TO BE IMPLEMENTED.  

Efforts are being made to streamline the induction of women in all government departments ensuring implementation of 20% quota in Government Departments it necessitate formulation of Women Employments Policy in the Province.  

IMPROVEMENT OF WORKING CONDITION OF WOMEN AT THEIR WORK PLACE. 

The Minister, Women Development while visiting various districts of Sindh met with women working of various levels.  The interactive dialogues with these women revealed that women are facing the problem of insufficient facilities at their work places. The Minister Emphasize formulation of Policy Guide Line for the entrepreneurs to ensure provision to adequate  facilities at work places.
