The Women Development Department has signed as MoU with the Women Studies Centre, University of Sindh, Jamshoro on 16th February 2008. Both organizations have resolved to cooperate and facilitate each in all areas leading to Socio-economic advancement of Women.

The Sindh Government has authorized Women Development department (WDD) to administer the payment of fine/bail surety and Deyat amount up to Rs. 100,000/- for those female and juvenile prisoners who are languishing in jails due to their inability to pay the same.

WDD and Centre of Excellence for Women Studies, University of Karachi have       signed an MOU aimed at working together for development and empowerment of women in relevant sectors.

The All Pakistan’s Women Association (APWA) and WDD have signed an MOU to work together for the cause of economic, legal, political and social uplift of the women of Sindh.

Women artisans of Sindh to be supported and facilitated by WDD through   Provision of free display stalls at Sunday Bazaars every week.

WDD arranged seminar on Gender Awareness in Sukkur. Large participation from police and local NGOs was recorded in the event. Justice Nasir Aslam Zahid as the key speaker at the seminar.
