1. FLOOD EMERGENCY RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT

 

With the efforts of donor agency (ADB) and Government of Pakistan, a FERP Project was envisaged in 2011. The donor agency ADB and Government of Pakistan agreed for re-construction of 800 Kms provincial roads i/c bridges, damaged during the flood 2010, due to breach in Tori Bund.

 

Seven badly affected districts namely Kashmore@Kandhkot, Jacobabad, Shikarpur, Kambar@Shahdadkot, Dadu, Jamshoro and Thatta were included in the programme.

2. JAPANESE ASSISTED RURAL ROAD CONSTRUCTION PROJECT-II SINDH

 

To developed paved roads in rural areas of Sindh Province for improving transport conditions, thereby contributing to poverty reduction and mitigating regional disparities through improvement of access to neighboring cities and quality of life in the rural areas.

Project Summary

The concept of the Project is to improve the rural roads in Sindh by paving existing track and bumpy path which have 60km/h of design speed. The travel time can be shortened after completion of the project. The roads will be constructed / rehabilitated in the districts of Sindh Province i.e Dadu / Hyderabad / Jacobabad / Khairpur / Larkana / Shikarpur / Sukkur / Thatta.

 

 

3. NAWABSHAH – SANGHAR ROAD

 

In compliance to the Presidential Directive regarding Re-construction of Nawabshah Sanghar Road (61 Kms) to be funded partly through Chinese Exim Bank Loan (US$ 20.0 Million). The PC-I prepared by the Works & Services Department was cleared by CDWP and approved by ECNEC. Consultant has been selected and work will be started very soon.
