The Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan 1973 enjoins on the State to alleviate the suffering of all citizens irrespective of sex, caste, creed or race. The Social Welfare Department is playing a vital role to provide welfare services for the disadvantaged and marginalized population of the province

         The highest aim of the department is to give momentum to the process of social development through which the individuals, groups and communities are stimulated to promote their effective participation for improvement of quality of life.
