INTRODUCTION:

The Population Welfare in Sindh is integral component of socio economic development program operating all over the Sindh with specific goal of

- Promoting of small family norms.

- Reducing the population growth rate.

- Reducing infant mortality, maternal mortality and fertility level.

• Population Welfare Program was launched in the Sindh during 3^rd Five
     Year Plan (1965-70).
• After the dissolution of one unit in 1971, the program was
      decentralized and field  activities were transferred to the provinces.
• The program was again centralized in 1977 and once again  decentralized in 200.
