The Advocate General Office is assigned the work of giving advises to the 

Administrative Departments in the legal matters in which there is a difference 

of opinion between the Law Department and the Administrative Department 

and  defiance the province in cases  filed for and against the province in 

Constitutional Petitions and Civil/criminal matters before the High Court and 

Supreme Court.
