The Irrigation and Power Department,
Government of Sindh, which comprises of two
major sectors i.e. “IRRIGATION” and “POWER”,
plays a vital role in the province, firstly
since the irrigated agriculture is the
backbone of the economy, secondly power is
the main sources of the energy.
To achieve over goals, present provincial
government fixed the target to improve the
economy, poverty alleviation to ensure
betterment of the common man on long way and
other focus of the present government to
develop human resources for private sector
through training of engineering graduate as
well as reduction of unemployment.
In order to provide regular updates about
the activities of Irrigation and Power
Department and to act as a channel for
dissemination of information relevant to
Irrigation and Power Department. The
department has re – designated its website
and included many new features in it.
I hope that we will continue to update and
upgrade this website on regular basis and
thereby provide a centralized source of
information, news, views and hopefully
