PRESS  SECTION

Issues NOCs for the title of declarations of various   publications and make recommendations for the cancellation of declarations to concerned authorities.

Undertakes monitoring of Press/Publications.

Deals with the News Press Laws promulgated by Government of Pakistan recently, through “Press Ordinance, 2002”.

Maintenance of records of newspapers / periodicals.

Press Section also monitor activities of newspapers with special reference to vulgarity, anti state activities etc.

Bring out weekly “pertinent issues” and prepare “Monthly Report” of the activities being carried out by Information Department.
