PRINTING AND STATIONERY DEPARTMENT

INTRODUCTION

Printing & Stationary Department is an attached Department of Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Sindh headed by the Controller. It has three sub-ordinate offices:-

1. Sindh Government Press, Karachi

2. Sindh Government Press, Khairpur

3. Stationary & Forms Offices, Karachi & Khairpur

The Sindh Government Press Karachi was established in 1847 when Sindh was part of Bombay and was called the Commissioner’s Press. Before 1935, the Press was attached to the Bombay Presidency and when Sindh became a separate province. The Press was renamed as Sindh Government Press.
