Achievements

 

1.  Only 1 year back, whole IT department comprised of 12 employees. With dedicated efforts the number has risen to 50 and it is      expected that very soon IT department shall be having around 1000 employees all over Sindh.

2.  Established LAN of 390 nodes in Sindh Secretariat Building-II (Tughlaq House).

3.  Established LAN of 800 nodes in New Secretariat Building-I

4.  Established LAN of 246 nodes in Information & Archives Department.

5.  The IT Awareness Centers have been opened in slum localities for the  benefit of low-income groups.

6.  In (ITCN Asia (2005)) The Governors Sindh and IT Ministers from all  provinces were invited by the Information Technology Department, Government of Sindh completed mass IT Training program for 15000 Government employees from grade 5 to 20. (The target has been achieved)

7.  Advanced IT Training for 210 Secretariat employees have been completed and 2nd Batch of 300 more employees have been sent for training.

8.  IT department arranged a successful seminar on Call Centre investment Opportunity in which investors and Call Centre experts from Pakistan and abroad participated.

9.  As a result of this successful seminar, a Call centre of 700 seats has been established. It is expected that within 6 months many new Call Centers shall be established with approximately 5000 seats in Karachi.

10. It is estimated that more than 10000 jobless graduates shall be provided employment in Call Centre within 6 months.

11. An investment of more than 50 million US$ is expected in Call Centre industry as a result of this successful Seminar.
