Objectives

 

The project aims at basic IT infrastructure and automation of offices of the Advocate General Sindh.


The project involves installation of Local Area Network with provision of the basic infrastructure to department and setup of Advocate General Intranet for providing connectivity between the standalone LANs being established at various offices of departments through high speed metropolitan area network (MAN), having a central point, which will work as nerve center for Advocate General Intranet and house the building blocks of this network; including core switch, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, central storage facility, a central server farm having database, messaging / collaboration, network management, customized applications for each office and secure electronic communications. It will also provide central management for the Advocate General’s entire computer network.

            

Progress

 

All targets defined in approved PC-I/tender document/work order have been completed and data is being uploading on the server through the management system/applications.


Trainings are also being in progress and this process will be continued in the next financial year.

Achievements

Advocate General Sindh Karachi has been linked with Field offices at Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana and Islamabad.

 

All targets have been completed.

 

Following customized software have been developed and deployed in all field offices:

  • Online File Tracking System

  • Online Case Diary

  • Online Time Management System

  • Online Library Management System

  • Interconnectivity of all offices of Advocate General.

  • Secure Intranet Access for all offices at Advocate General.

  • Creating a center point for hosting of common applications.

  • Installation/ Training on basic IT concepts and Offices Productivity software.

  • Installation/ Training on Messaging and Collaboration software.

  • Secure authentications, Network administration support and monitoring.

  • Providing extensive training on the new environment to the end users as well as support staff.
