Project Description

• The subject of Computer Science has been introduced at Matriculation and Intermediate levels by all Education Boards throughout the country.  To meet this requirement Government has to provide Computer Science Teachers, Lab: In-charges and Computer labs: in Schools and Colleges.

• The subject project was therefore conceived by Education Department in consultation with the Pakistan Computer Bureau (PCB) Islamabad.  PC-1 of the Project was approved by ECNEC in its meeting held on 07.01.2004 with matching funding by Fed: & Prov: Governments at 50% - 50% ratio to meet the above goals.

Project Goals/Targets

Ø      To recruit 206 IT/ Computer Sc. Teachers and 206 Lab: Incharges

Ø      To equip 206 Computer Labs:

 Ø      To raise the standard of teaching Computer Science subject in the Government’s High Schools/Higher Secondary Schools / Colleges to meet the requirement of Computer Science as compulsory subject in different classes.
