DECENTRALIZED ELEMENTARY EDUCATION PROJECT (DEEP) :

 

         The original cost of the Project was Rs. 5880 million, which was revised at Rs.861.5 million.

  Targets

–        Upgrade 1200 Primary Schools  to Middle, construct 100 shelter-less Schools, 980 Compound walls and 1400 Lavatory blocks

–        Grant 115 M.Ed scholarships to Primary and Junior School Teachers

–        Provide furniture and equipment (Computers), Teachers tool-kits and Sports material to upgrade Schools

–        Grant scholarships and stipends on differential basis (Rs.198 million over three years)

–        Impart training to DEOs and ADOs through NIPA.

–        Female teachers scholarships to 1000 teachers

–        Girls stipend class 9th to 12th to 7,460 for two years (Total 14,920)

Achievements

        208 Schools are undergoing the process of  up gradation, which will be completed by July, 2008

        Pre-Primary classes have been provided to 103 upgraded schools

        116 Compound walls and 193 lavatory blocks have been constructed

        Furniture and Teaching kits have been provided to 208 upgraded schools

        936 female-Teacher Scholarships have been awarded to the Teacher from class 11th to 14th (Graduation)

        14,276 Girls stipend have been distributed to the students of class 9th to 12th
