SINDH SPORTS BOARD
The following are the functions of the Board :-
To promote and develop sports, games and physical education in the Province,
and lay down the general policy therefore;
To foster love and enthusiasm for sports and games among all sections of the
public; To promote the formation and efficient functioning of the associations;
To co-ordinate encourage and patronize the activities directed towards the
sports and games in the province; To register associations in the province;
To receive any money, financial grants, donations or subscriptions from any
person, body or organization;
To give grants-in-aid to the associations for promotion and development of
sports games; To ensure that grants given are utilized for the purpose and
in accordance with the objects for which they are given;
To do generally all such acts and things as it may think to be necessary and
conducive to achieve its aim and objectives.

ANNUAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME – 2004-2005
In accordance with the Government Policy sufficient funds are provided to
the department to enhance different units and to bring new policies in
development sectors every year. At present, the Department has important
Mega Projects for development of Goragh Hills. Hence, keeping all in view,
the Department has initiated S.N.E. to the Finance and Coorporation
Departmentfor establishment of permanent Planning. Development, Monitoring
and Implementation Cell, to feed back the Administrative Department for
achievement of targets and plan new schemes for Culture, Tourism Sector,
and the schemes executed by the different works agencies would be monitored
for better result.

Development of Gorakh
Hills Dev: Project
Phase-1 & II.
All the above schemes are equally important, but the Gorakh Hill
Development Schemes are on Top Priority. It has been approved by
the PDWP and includes road from Wahi Pandhi to Gorakh(54Km) as against
the old route from Tando rahim W/O from Hingan Springs to Gorakh Hills
and Supply of Electrification of Motor-able Track ()93 km Construction
of Mosque, rest House at Gorakh Hill. The current year’s allocation as
detailed above has been fully released to the DCO Dadu and Director
general, Gorakh Hills Development Authority.
